Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you (the business using our services) and A L Kangaroo Private Limited ("AL Kangaroo", "we", "us"). They cover the JewelXpress web panel and app, the partner and client APIs and the delivery services we provide through them. If you have a signed agreement or rate card with us, that agreement wins where it differs from these terms.
By creating an account or booking an order, you accept these terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund & Cancellation Policy, the Shipping & Delivery Policy and the B2C Insurance Policy.
2. Accounts
- Our services are for businesses. You must be able to enter a binding contract and give a valid GST number where one applies.
- Keep your login details and API keys secret. Orders placed from your account or with your keys are your orders.
- Keep your business details, addresses and contacts correct. We may ask for KYC documents before activating or keeping an account.
3. Booking an order
- Give complete pickup and delivery addresses, a reachable contact at each end and the correct pin on the map.
- The booking value must equal the invoice value of the goods. Insurance, claims and liability are based on it.
- An order is accepted when it gets an order number. We may refuse an order that is outside our service area, incomplete or against these terms.
4. Packing
Pack every parcel so that it cannot be opened without visible damage, in a transparent tamper-proof outer bag, as the B2C Insurance Policy requires. A Field Executive may refuse a parcel that is not packed this way.
5. What we do not carry
Anything illegal, stolen or counterfeit; cash, cheques or bearer instruments (other than COD amounts we collect for you); weapons, explosives, hazardous or perishable goods; and anything that needs a licence or permit you do not hold. You are responsible for what you hand over.
6. Pickup and delivery
- A parcel is handed over only against the correct OTP, at pickup and at delivery. Do not share an OTP with anyone except the Field Executive at the moment of handover.
- Delivery is complete when the delivery OTP is verified, or as otherwise agreed for your account. The time and location of each OTP check, with the photo proof, is the record of delivery.
- Delivery times we show are estimates. Traffic, weather and other events can delay a delivery.
7. Failed delivery and returns
If the customer cannot be reached, refuses the parcel or does not share the OTP, we try again as set out in the Shipping & Delivery Policy, and then return the parcel to your store. If you cancel an order after pickup, the parcel is returned to your store. Charges for these cases are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy and your rate card.
8. Cash on delivery
For COD orders the Field Executive collects the amount shown on the order. We remit collected COD amounts to you as agreed for your account, after deducting any amounts you owe us only where your agreement allows it.
9. Charges and invoices
- Charges follow your rate card, or our standard tariff where you have none, plus GST.
- We invoice you for completed services with an order-wise annexure. Pay each invoice within the time stated on it or in your agreement, by bank transfer or online through our payment gateway partner.
- Tell us about a wrong charge within 30 days of the invoice date. We will check and, where we were wrong, correct it with a credit note.
10. Insurance and liability
- Shipments are covered under the B2C Insurance Policy for the cases it lists, up to a booking value of ₹5,00,000 per order. An order with a higher booking value can be booked, but is not insured above that limit.
- Report a loss or damage by email to support@alkangaroo.in within the time the policy sets. Claims are handled only under that policy.
- Apart from that policy, our total liability for an order is limited to its booking value or ₹5,00,000, whichever is lower. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit or lost business.
- We are not liable where the loss comes from wrong details you gave, poor packing, prohibited goods, or an OTP you shared with someone else.
11. API use
- Use the sandbox for testing and production keys only for real orders. Do not share keys or let others use them.
- We may limit the rate of requests to keep the service stable, and we tell you in advance about changes that break an existing integration where we can.
- Data you receive through the API (including Field Executive names and masked numbers) is only for running your deliveries.
12. Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, does not pay due invoices, or puts parcels, people or our systems at risk. Orders already picked up are completed or returned to your store.
13. General
- Force majeure: we are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our control, such as natural disasters, riots, strikes, government orders or network outages.
- Intellectual property: the platform, apps, website and brand belong to us. You may not copy or resell them.
- Changes: we may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; for important changes we tell account holders in advance.
- Disputes: we will first try to settle any dispute by talking to each other. These terms are governed by Indian law, and the courts at Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.
